The Hawton Project
On the 24 of May 2011, the Hawton Project received planning consent. Only 1 day later, Conergy partner Lark Energy began the construction work of the 4.86 MWp ground-mount installation at “The Grange” in Hawton, Nottinghamshire. The installation covers a total area of 14.6 hectare and consists of an impressive number of:
| 21,600 Conergy PowerPlus 220-230P solar panels
| 300 three-phased inverters
| Conergy SolarLinea Single mounting systems
| Enough annual electricity for around 1,000 homes
The Hawton installation is one of the few large PV projects installed in the UK in 2011, and all parties are excited to offer support for its successful completion. The Hawton project is owned and has been developed by Lightsource Renewable Energy Ltd with funding from Octopus Investments.
